What I see

Did you ever find solace in something bringing you immense joy and harmony? For the subject of this dream (rainbow pieces #0003), serenity first appears to be found in books. Our protagonist (which I affectionately decided to call Maude) is walking around peacefully eyes closed, literally browsing through a book as if she was walking in a wheat field letting her hands be delicately caressed by nature whilst running through wheat. Words are flying off the pages of her book, swirling around her and turning into shapes, taking form and becoming part of the expanding plane around her. Don’t be confused, it doesn’t come from printed characters on a piece of paper. It arises from a much deeper place. Her higher consciousness is all-seeing, she understands that these shapes, colors, stars, are all from the same fabric. That which gives true power to words, power to manifest, power to amaze, power to build, power to vibrate in tune with he/she who is able to see the True Source shining through. Radiating Love and feelings, that’s the True Source. That’s why it’s so beautiful. But, mind you… It’s just a dream… Or is it?

What I feel

I feel warmth and peace. I feel reverence and an invitation to look up to that irradiating force that is so much bigger than us but that is standing right in front of us. The Universe is so kind that it bends itself at an angle to allow us to wonder at its beauty, all the elements are bent: the sun allowing us to see its core made of love, the sky, the clouds, the ocean, the fire burning on the surface, the ground… Everything resting in balance on the underlying fluid equilibrium that harmonizes all things. The big book onto which Maude is peacefully walking is the springboard that propels us into this contemplative world where everything is possible.

Conclusion

The world around us changes according to our vibration, I truly believe that. When we pause for a moment, take a deep breath with our eyes closed, allow it to sink in and simply are present to that one single act of love towards ourself, feeling the caress of the cool air coming in our nostrils, coming out of our mouth warmer and a little moist, we are aware. This awareness is the doorway to inner peace and more importantly, a direct road to Love. Whenever you stray from the person you want to be today, pause, close your eyes, breathe in, breathe out, and let go. 🙏 Thank you so much for sharing your art Meryem, I was transported into your illustrated dream with grace. (And I’m sorry if her name is not Maude, that’s what she told me when I was gazing at her earlier and asked for her name… 😜) 🙏✌️

I decided to start writing a few thoughts about random NFTs I reviewed and figured I would create posts on my website in case it interested anyone looking for inspirations on which artists to support or which collections to keep an eye out for.

I am no expert, my only tools are my appreciation of art, my feelings and emotions, my way with words and a true desire to spread positivity in a world where, for the majority, everything is hidden behind by a big cloud of uncertainty.

Creating Art Despite the Depression

What I see

Depression is like a prison. Stuck in some form of lethargy, things around us lose their vibrancy… We lose our ability to glow. The dark shades of blue alternating in the background are the bars of our cell keeping us locked in. We are feeling blue, I mean, really, dark, blue. But did you ever hear about that “Fake it until you make it” concept? The painter (or should I say PAIN-ter) represented in this scene is completely bent on himself, likely just out of his fetal position in the far-left corner of his enclosed room, he decided to reach out and grab a brush. Did you notice? The brush is blue also, but a lighter shade of it. He started painting but he’s not looking at his art for now… For the moment, he’s trying to fake it. But there’s no “real” faking here. The magic starts when you take action. No need for huge rants, no need for outer recognition, heck, he’s not even looking at what he’s doing yet but he understands the concept. Whatever he decides to express is fine, each word, each breath, each e-motion (energy in motion) has a different color. As long as he keeps the motion flowing these colors will come out bright, they will elevate him. Very soon he will straighten his spine, raise his chin, open his eyes and see that he painted a colorful bridge to escape… And I’m not just talking “normal” bridge here, this is the powerful Norse-mythology-Bifröst-stuff, HEAR ME OUT! HE WILL ESCAPE! BY THOR AND BY ODIN! (Throwing my cup on the floor with all my might!) BRING ME ANOTHER ROUND MY GOOD MAN, THERE’S A GODLY MOMENT READY TO TAKE PLACE!!!

What I feel

I feel the sadness and the pain of someone who does not have the courage to look at himself in the mirror. I feel grateful to be from a witness point of view because I can see the marvelous beauty of what the PAIN-ter is creating right now. He is like a butterfly ready for his grace. He is like a grain of corn ready to fill up your bag while you go watch LOVE AND THUNDER at a theater near you. I feel joyous, excited and moved about what’s ready to happen. I feel blessed to marvel (see what I did here?) at the courage and the beauty of someone surrounded by darkness but painting with bright colors.

Conclusion

We all experience some form of depression at some point in our life. The first thing we can do is acknowledge and accept it. Sometimes life can get tough and it can sometimes be a drag (where did I read this before?) but we have been given a gift, we have been given a road… (Oh yeah, I know now… KISS and Keanu Reeves come to mind. 😜) And that road’s name is ART. What I see

Torn by the fact that her lover decided to leave and conquer other planets she appears to almost exclusively be touched by the shades of blue emanating from the whole spectrum of colors gushing from what others would call a giant leap for Humanity. She is obviously feeling blue, so much so that, out of her various shades of grey, the only color rolling on her cheek is blue. Although he is waiving from afar, seemingly proud of his accomplishments in his nifty astronaut apparel, she is not looking at him, she is looking away, adding to the sentiment of separation between them.

What I feel

I feel sadness first because she is in the foreground. She is us, we see the world from her point of view. Then, once we take a step back, we are able to view the scene as a spectator and find that there is beauty in all the colors, we find joy and pride in this flowing rainbow. Nevertheless, in the end, these radiant shades of life appear to lead to another grey entity. That new planet is not brighter, it is only different. Only the journey was colorful. Huh… And I’m back to sadness… Now I’m the one looking away at these shiny diamonds millions of miles away… Crying a river.

Conclusion

What a beautiful journey! Emotions and feelings are what makes us feel alive. They are what makes us human! 🙏✌️
