What I see
There is something surreal about an eclipse. The incommensurate power of the sun being completely blocked off by a small spherical rock. Mind you, that small rock affects us all every day by its gravitational pull harnessing oceans and tides all over Earth as a huge vortex. This animated image gives us a glimpse of that powerful pull. Viewing the scene at a low angle forces us to imagine we’re right there among trees looking upwards, seeing the birds, the dancing clouds and the poor sun trying its best to find its way back to us. Red is a color that evokes a solid foundation anchored deep in the ground as well as within our surrounding family and ultimately with oneself. The contrast of darkness offered by the silhouette of the naked branches of the encircling trees reminiscent of roots in this glade emphasizes the sense of belonging with everything else around. Nevertheless, we usually don’t see everything moving around us when we’re part of that which is moving… Would this mean we stepped out of ourselves? Are we the witness of this moment in time? Or are we now aware of that which is the witness?
What I feel
I feel enlightened, as if the only thing one can do in the face of such grandeur is to understand how insignificant our physical size compares to these trees, to the sky and to this distant luminary and to the orb temporarily blocking it. I also feel in complete harmony with the gloomy setup, the faint crown of light around the moon, the blood-red atmosphere swaying to a whispered whimsical inaudible soundtrack that can only be felt at a cellular level once we achieve mindfulness through stillness. That’s when I feel everything is possible. I can start anew. I can truly envision New Beginnings ahead.

I decided to start writing a few thoughts about random NFTs I reviewed and figured I would create posts on my website in case it interested anyone looking for inspirations on which artists to support or which collections to keep an eye out for.
